DB-SIFT ® Intelligent Monitoring Tool Dibon’s Remote Services Monitoring Tool
DB-SIFT was developed at DIBON’s state of the art Labs as a proactive monitoring tool for databases, applications and operating system. DB-SIFT runs on Unix, Linux and Windows systems. It is also capable of monitoring databases like Oracle, SQL SERVER and DB2 databases, ERP’s like Peoplesoft and Oracle Applications and also UNIX and Linux operating systems.
DB-SIFT utility has three components. The client piece is installed on the client servers. This piece monitors database and Operating system without needing to have an open connection into client’s network. DB-SIFTmonitor all critical components of OS, ERP Applications and Databases in five-minute intervals and have built-in alerts that directly page and e-mail the primary and secondary support person. This component of DB-SIFTgathers performance statistics, space allocation and utilization, objects information etc. and sends it to the centralized repository maintained at DIBON’s Site. This Component’s proactive monitoring ensures uninterrupted O/S and database availability.

The Second piece of DB-SIFTutility is the repository database. This is hosted at DIBON’s secure Data Center. The information gathered by client piece is saved and maintained in a repository database.
The Third piece is the Online Portal. Access to this is provided to the clients so that the clients can view monitoring information, look into Trend analysis, Capacity Planning etc. This not only allows the customers to keep track of their profile, but lets them to open service tickets and monitor the activities on the Ticket. DB-SIFT provide the customers a medium to check the historical statistics of the database perform Trend analysis, facilitate capacity planning.
